DS1140 construction
As a bricklayer, you will, among other things, perform documentation according to DS1140 on masonry and wall structures, floor slabs, foundations, etc. Specifically for the construction, the focus is on documentation of protection against moisture penetration, verticality, flatness, stability, etc. Quality assurance (self-inspection) of the entire construction must also be carried out.

What is DS 1140
DS 1140 is a Danish standard that prescribes that you must perform general building control. The general inspection includes both self-inspection and independent inspection.
To document the independent verification, you must prepare a verification plan with information from the static verification plan from the building designer.
Your documentation of the inspection must be collected in an inspection report, which constitutes documentation of the independent inspection of the execution.
DS 1140 doesn’t have to be difficult. We’ve digitized the process for both the self-audit and the independent audit.
We know the pitfalls
Our advisors are good at making the standard practical and easy to understand. Every day, we talk to different professionals who deliver to construction projects. We have built up a lot of experience because we are involved in the documentation of construction projects and therefore know the pitfalls.
We offer introduction to the DS 1140 standard, training and preparation of documentation, including inspection plans and reports. We can also be a resource for the independent inspector during the construction process.
